Job Description

The Karr Group--Killington, Vermont's largest hospitality management company--is hiring an experienced Food Expeditor to join our team at Charity's 1887 Saloon.

The Food Expeditor helps keep service running smoothly by coordinating communication between the kitchen and the front-of-house staff. As the link between the two teams, the expeditor ensures every dish is prepared correctly, efficiently, and delivered in an organized, timely fashion. We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and manage food orders between the kitchen and front-of-house teams. Inspect dishes to ensure presentation, accuracy, and quality standards are met before leaving the kitchen. Prioritize and organize tickets based on timing, pacing, and table needs. Communicate clearly with kitchen staff to maintain workflow and address delays or issues. Keep the expo station clean, organized, and fully stocked. Assist with garnishing and final plate touches to uphold quality and presentation standards. Support servers by ensuring food is delivered promptly and to the correct tables. Maintain a calm, organized presence during high-volume service periods.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a restaurant setting required. Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen operations. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
