Duties

Safely operate various types of delivery vehicles, including box trucks and courier vans, following all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload food orders, utilizing heavy lifting techniques and equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary. Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize speed and accuracy, ensuring timely deliveries across designated areas. Deliver food orders directly to customers' homes or businesses with professionalism and a friendly attitude. Verify order accuracy before departure and upon delivery, ensuring customer satisfaction. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route changes, delays, or issues encountered during deliveries. Maintain cleanliness and routine maintenance of delivery vehicles to ensure safety and reliability. Handle cash or electronic payments when applicable, providing excellent customer service throughout the transaction process. Assist in warehouse tasks such as loading supplies or inventory management as needed. Follow safety protocols for manual handling, heavy lifting, and moving items to prevent injuries.

Experience

Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred; familiarity with route driving enhances efficiency. Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor. Experience operating commercial vehicles such as box trucks or vans with manual transmission is advantageous. Warehouse experience involving load & unload procedures, forklift operation, or pallet jack use is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely and effectively. Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for commercial driving. Previous experience working with route driving schedules in fast-paced environments is desirable.
