5 - 10 hours/week depending on programming (on an as-needed basis)
Job Summary
Responsibilities include working with The Food Connection staff on program and resource development, and individual projects that strengthen local food systems. Focus areas for student interns include contributing to Food Connection programs that strengthen Kentucky farmers' access to local markets, produce safety and whole sale readiness, development of educational resources on local food systems, and additional projects to strengthen collaborations with internal and external partner organizations.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Must: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, a willing attitude, and ability to work independently and in teams with students, faculty and staff. Have reliable transportation or ability to be on time to shifts . Attend orientation and any required intern cohort trainings

An interest or area of study related to food systems, agriculture, and/or sustainability are preferred but not required
