Globe Life Marketing Services has a current opening for a Folder Operator to join their team in the Bindery Department located in Oklahoma City.

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES:

To make ready, operate and maintain a high speed folding machine.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

Responsible for setting up and operating a folding machine consistent with the specifications for each job. Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Setting and adjusting folding plates to achieve desired fold.
• Loading printed matter on the folding machine, making sure the material is properly oriented to achieve the desired fold and appearance and to maintain the proper zip sequence.
• Unloading folded pieces from the machine and package in the appropriate boxes or trays.
• Accurately labeling boxes or trays of finished folded pieces with the form number and the number of pieces in the box or tray.
• Must obtain supervisory approval that the job is set-up correctly before running the job.
• Responsible for making operating adjustments during the run as necessary.
• Continually inspects and monitors the quality of the finished folded piece being produced against sample provided. Adjusts or readjusts all controls throughout the run to ensure that the product exactly matches the sample provided.
• May move in-process materials and finished product to and from various locations using an electric clamp truck or electric forklift or hand truck.
• Responsible for continually monitoring and inspecting the folder for malfunctions or safety hazards, and correcting any malfunctions or reporting hazards to management.
• Responsible for cleaning, inspecting, lubricating, adjusting, maintaining and repairing the folding machine according to the manufacturer\xe2\x80\x99s and/or company\xe2\x80\x99s specifications.
• Responsible for accurately reporting daily time, production, and material usage as required by management.
• Must keep work area clean and hazard free at all times.
• May instruct or train other Folder Operators.
• Shall understand and adhere to all safety and quality procedures.

• Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, kneeling, climbing, pushing and pulling.
• Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
• Requires above average manual dexterity of the hands and/or fingers.
