Ashby Eatery is a new neighborhood restaurant in Berkeley born from a simple idea: to bring people together over honest, flavorful food in a space that feels like home. Job Summary:

Taking customer orders (counter service), handling payments, and serving food and drinks . In addition to in-house service, you will manage to-go and delivery orders (including DoorDash and other platforms) while ensuring accuracy. Duties also include restocking supplies and keeping the front counter and dining area clean and organized. Strong communication and multitasking skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers and taking orders Operate the register and handle cash/card transactions Serve coffee, drinks, and food items promptly and accurately Manage and pack all online, phone, and togo orders Maintain a clean and organized counter and dining area Restock supplies as needed Follow all food safety and hygiene standards

Qualifications:

Friendly and customer-focused Punctual and reliable Able to work efficiently during busy periods Previous cafe or food service experience Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
