Overview

We are seeking an experienced part-time Floral Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for aesthetics and a strong understanding of floral arrangements, with the ability to create stunning designs for various occasions. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Duties

Design and create floral arrangements for daily deliveries and various events, including weddings, funerals, and corporate functions. Assist customers in selecting flowers and arrangements that meet their needs and preferences. Maintain inventory by managing stock levels of flowers, plants, and supplies. Operate cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems to process transactions accurately. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, answering questions, and offering recommendations. Collaborate with team members to ensure the shop is well-organized and visually appealing. Stay updated on floral trends and techniques to enhance design skills. Perform general maintenance of plants and flowers, ensuring they are healthy and vibrant.

Qualifications

5+ years of floral design experience is required. Experience conducting wedding/event flower consultations. Proficiency in operating cash registers and POS systems. Experience in retail sales with a focus on customer satisfaction. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. A creative mindset with attention to detail and an appreciation for aesthetics. Ability to work Saturdays and select holidays (Valentine's/Mother's Day)
