Responsibilities

Perform thorough cleaning of floors using various methods such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to ensure pristine surfaces. Operate floor care equipment including buffers, polishers, and carpet extractors with precision and safety. Maintain high standards of cleanliness by removing debris, stains, and spills promptly across all areas. Follow established janitorial procedures to clean restrooms, hallways, lobbies, offices, and other common areas. Conduct routine inspections of flooring surfaces to identify wear or damage and report maintenance needs promptly. Use environmentally friendly cleaning products and practices to promote sustainability within the facility. Adhere to safety protocols and proper use of cleaning chemicals to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Experience

Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or institutional settings is highly preferred. Proven skills in floor care techniques such as carpet cleaning, buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing. Knowledge of cleaning equipment operation including floor buffers, extractors, and vacuums. Familiarity with environmental services standards and best practices for maintaining hygienic spaces. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to coordinate tasks effectively with team members and supervisors. Pay: $23.54 - $28.35 per hour
