The Lead-Qualified Float Teacher contributes to both the
academic and social development
of students while modeling professionalism, consistency, and teamwork across the center
Responsibilities
Provide instructional and classroom support across
multiple age groups
, stepping into lead roles as needed to maintain continuity of care and learning
Implement
developmentally appropriate curriculum and lesson plans
that align with educational standards and the individual needs of each classroom
Plan and facilitate engaging learning experiences across core developmental areas, including
literacy, early math, gross and fine motor skills, and social-emotional development
Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment using
effective behavior guidance and classroom management strategies
Support children with
developmental delays or special needs
in collaboration with leadership and support staff, following early intervention best practices
Observe, document, and assess student progress through daily observations and age-appropriate assessments
Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, directors, and support staff to ensure smooth transitions and consistent expectations across classrooms
Communicate professionally with parents and caregivers as needed to support student growth and well-being
Incorporate
Montessori-inspired or other developmentally appropriate teaching approaches
when applicable
Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to attendance, assessments, and classroom support
Adhere to all
health, safety, and supervision protocols
to ensure a secure and nurturing learning environment
Experience & Qualifications
Must meet lead teacher qualification requirements
in accordance with state licensing standards
Prior experience in
early childhood education or preschool settings
strongly preferred
Demonstrated experience with
lesson planning, curriculum implementation, and classroom leadership
Knowledge of
child development principles
and best practices across toddler through preschool age groups
Experience supporting children with
diverse learning, behavioral, or developmental needs
Strong classroom management skills with the ability to quickly adapt to different classroom environments
Familiarity with
early literacy development and observational assessment methods
Montessori or private school experience is a plus but not required
Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with staff and families
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
