Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Room coverage at lunch and other times when necessary Maintain classroom control, management, and sanitation Provide a normal routine by maintaining daily schedule adherence Must keep the Director and Lead Teacher informed concerning staff members, children, and parental issues. Maintaining the Center's policies and procedures Attend on-going training Other duties and responsibilities may apply.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Required Skills and Experience:

A desire to work with children through positive interaction is required. Prior experience in childcare preferred. Bi-lingual preferred. Continuing education classes preferred. CPR, First Aid certification, and Blood Born Pathogen Training required within the first six months. Clean police background check required before the first day of work. Good time management, oral and written communication required. Dependable, flexible, and a team player required.

Physical Requirements:

Will frequently lift or move average weight; as in lifting, carrying, and holding infants and children If necessary, you may be required to change soiled clothing, and diapers for those children in your classroom Will occasionally lift or move average weight in awkward or difficult positions Required to stand up to 95% of the workday Must be able to interact with children on the playground or in classroom, i.e. run, jump, dance, physical exercise, etc. Must be able to professionally interact with children, their parents, and other teachers on a daily basis Able to physically and mentally react immediately to unexpected circumstances Seeks assistance to perform physical demands of the job if n
