North Coast is a high-growth landscaping and site-development firm. We believe that a crew is only as good as the tools in their hands and the trucks under their feet. We are looking for a dedicated Fleet & Shop Manager to take the reins of our maintenance operations and turn our shop into a high-efficiency machine.

. We have a diverse fleet of heavy machinery and trucks, and we want someone who can walk into our shop and organize it exactly how they see fit. You will have the authority to implement your own systems for parts inventory, tool tracking, and preventative maintenance schedules.

The Fleet You'll Manage

Heavy Equipment:

Skid Steers and Mini Excavators.

Trucks:

A range of 2500, 3500, and 5500 series work trucks.

Mowing:

Zero-turn commercial mowers.

Trailers:

Both Dump and Flatbed trailers.

Handhelds:

Full suite of blowers, trimmers, and chainsaws.

Key Responsibilities

Total Shop Organization:

You have the "green light" to organize the shop, shelving, and yard for maximum flow and efficiency.

Preventative Maintenance (PM):

Develop and manage a PM schedule for our heavy diesel equipment and gasoline-powered trucks.

System Implementation:

Create a "check-out/check-in" system for handheld equipment to ensure accountability across all crews.

Mechanical Repairs:

Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems on skid steers, brakes/suspension on trailers, and engine maintenance on mowers.

Safety & Compliance:

Ensure all trailers are road-worthy and all trucks meet DOT standards.

Requirements

Heavy Equipment Knowledge:

Strong experience with hydraulic systems and diesel engines (skid steers/excavators).

The "Organizer" Mindset:

You enjoy turning a messy space into a clean, labeled, and functional workshop.

Fabrication Skills:

Basic welding/fabrication skills (for trailer and deck repairs) are a major plus.

Experience:

5+ years in fleet or shop management, preferably in the construction or landscaping industry.

Valid Driver's License:

Clean MVR required.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
