What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. Although the full salary range is posted, the target hiring range for this role is $29.00-$35.00. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location & Schedule
This position will be based either at Roslyn (5440 Roslyn St., Denver, CO 80216) or Central Platte (1271 W. Bayaud Ave., Denver, CO 80223). The shift available will be between the hours of 5:30 AM - 11:00 PM, with occasional weekends during snow and holidays on an as needed basis. Both the shift timing and location will be determined and discussed during the hiring process.There is a 7% shift differential added for shifts that start after 11:00 AM.

The Logistics Operations Division maintains the parts and stock for several city divisions including DOTI, Denver Police, and Fire Department vehicles. DOTI Logistics Operations (DLO) provides parts for over 4,000 City and County of Denver vehicles. Our DLO team manages 14 stockrooms and has 27 employees. DLO's key performance indicator is 90% parts availability or better and maintaining high inventory turns rates.
The Logistics Operation team has an opening for a Parts Specialist Supervisor. In this role you will oversee the operations and management of assigned stockroom personnel and warehouses both manned and unmanned within the City of Denver. Under minimal supervision you will be able to make business decisions that are in the best interest of the organization and city. There will be constant interaction with internal customers and outside vendors as well as creating and maintaining a team atmosphere. The ability to build and maintain positive relationships is key. To be successful, excellent time management skills and the ability to complete assigned projects and daily tasks with minimal supervision is necessary.
Specifically, as a Fleet Parts Specialist Supervisor you will:
Ensure stock and non-stock items are requisitioned, received, and distributed as requested while ensuring that established processes, procedures, and fiscal rules are adhered to
Generate reports for management tracking usage and value of items received and issued using the basic computer spreadsheet/database software and/or enterprise inventory management software
Interprets City Master Purchase Order contract clauses, sections, and amendments to ensure correct pricing, shipping, overall vendor accountability. Interact with City suppliers as needed to ensure expectations are met
Reviews, develops, or modifies work plans, methods and procedures, determines work priorities and develops work schedules to provide adequate staff coverage. Provides work instruction and assists employees with difficult and/or unusual assignments; encourages innovation.
Resolves problems and mediates conflicts encountered during daily operations and determines appropriate solutions; promotes teamwork. Encourages regular communication, informs staff of relevant business issues and their impact on the organization.
Develops goals, documents performance, provides performance feedback and formally evaluates the work of the employee; provides reward and recognition for proper and efficient performance. Assists staff to achieve performance standards and identifies opportunities for continual improvement to performance standards.

Required Minimum Qualifications
Education requirement: Graduation from high school or possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.
Experience Requirement: Five (5) years' experience in in an automotive or heavy-duty equipment repair setting, including parts identification receiving, stocking, issuing and inventory record keeping of automotive and heavy-duty equipment parts, equipment, supplies, or materials, which must have included one (1) year of stock ordering responsibility and purchasing experience.
Education/Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
License/Certifications:This job requires driving. Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application.
