Fleet Manager

to join our team. ENE is a dynamic family-owned and operated ag business providing custom mechanical orchard services throughout California's Central Valley for over 50 years. Great people, great service, great equipment.

About the Position



The Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the management of on-road vehicles and trailers and off-road equipment in an agricultural business. You'll direct maintenance and repair schedules and analyze fleet performance metrics to ensure safety, reliability, and effectiveness. This role facilitates the purchasing, leasing, and renting of vehicles and equipment. This is a regular full time-time position involving 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, approximately 6:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. During busy seasons, overtime and weekend work may be required.

Job Duties



Working closely with Custom Services Team, oversee the daily operations of the fleet, ensuring efficient and safe transportation. Manage vehicle and equipment maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards. Coordinate and manage vehicle and equipment rentals, leases, and purchases to support operations. Track and analyze fleet performance metrics, maintenance costs, and driver safety. Research, analyze, and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reductions. If a Class A Driver, occasionally serve as a relief driver, ensuring coverage and continuity of service.

Qualifications



Possess personal integrity, a positive attitude, and strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a focus on operational efficiency High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience in fleet management and logistics within the agricultural industry Familiarity with GPS technology and fleet management software Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams Experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards related to fleet operations Ability to adapt to changing environments and take initiative in problem-solving Familiarity with agricultural equipment and machinery, including maintenance and repair Ability to comprehend, speak, read, and write both English and Spanish is highly desirable. Ability to use a phone, text message, email, various apps and aptitude to learn new applications and software as needed. Possess a valid class C Driver's License and a clean driving record, preference given to candidates with Class A license.
