About the Role:

The Flatwork/DryFold position is essential in ensuring the efficient processing and handling of laundered textiles, primarily focusing on flatwork items such as sheets, tablecloths, and other large fabric pieces. The role involves operating specialized folding and finishing equipment to produce neatly folded, high-quality linen products ready for distribution or customer delivery. Attention to detail and consistency are critical, as the end result directly impacts customer satisfaction and the overall presentation of the laundered goods. This position requires collaboration with team members to maintain workflow efficiency and adherence to safety and quality standards. Ultimately, the Flatwork/DryFold operator plays a key role in maintaining the operational excellence of the laundry facility by delivering finished products that meet company and client expectations.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Basic mechanical aptitude to operate and troubleshoot folding and ironing equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a laundry or textile processing environment. Familiarity with industrial flatwork ironers and dry folding machines. Basic knowledge of workplace safety standards related to machinery operation. Good physical stamina and manual dexterity. Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities:

Operate flatwork ironers and dry folding machines to process laundered textiles efficiently and accurately. Inspect linens for quality, ensuring they are free from stains, tears, or defects before folding and packaging. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and operational efficiency. Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and resolve any equipment or process issues promptly. Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while handling machinery and materials.

The required skills enable the candidate to efficiently operate and monitor flatwork and dry folding machinery, ensuring that linens are processed to high-quality standards.
