Serving both clients from our brain and spinal cord injury rehabilitation programs, as well as QLI alumni and community members, the GRIT program offers customized workouts designed to improve health, posture, flexibility, strength and balance - all keys to wellness and maximizing purpose and independence.


The GRIT Coordinator envisions, plans and leads lively in-person and remote sessions that also cultivate powerful relationships and a sense of camaraderie and community.

A successful candidate will:

Possess the ability to design and implement adaptive fitness programs utilizing functional fitness methodologies to cater to diverse client needs Be skilled in collaborating and expanding community relationships with other gym facilities and medical professionals Be open to learning and assisting with social media management and maintenance of specialized applications, such as the GRIT App, to enhance client engagement and accessibility Provide assistance to clients in setting up for workouts while prioritizing safety and injury prevention Attend and participate actively and positively in team meetings and in-services as needed

Education and Certifications:

Must be at least 18 years old (required)*
A personal training background (required)*
High school diploma or G.E.D. (preferred)*
Adaptive personal trainer certification (preferred)*

Vaccination Requirements:

Annual flu vaccine is required during flu season. If needed, we will provide vaccination at QLI, free of charge.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, must be available between 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM
