Job Summary:

The IHFC (Insight Healing & Fitness Center) Manager oversees the fitness center\'s staff, day to day operations, reporting and programs/services while exercising good judgment through providing excellent, long lasting programs and customer service to our members, staff and stakeholders. This professional will also serve as a liaison through communicating updates and other time sensitive information to organizational key stakeholders to ensure a smoothly operational flow. The Manager is required to think independently and creatively to control the development, implementation and evaluation of ongoing and innovative programming to help find creative ways to boost membership expansion and retention, and increase our patient referral volumes. The Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations and control operating expenses through working closely with the Director, patients, members, vendors, and independent contractors. This person will routinely submit sales and activity reports as requested by the Director or the Accounting Team. The Manager is responsible for ensuring quality control, adhering to proper facility cleaning and maintenance, and assisting leadership in fiscal responsibility throughout the department. This desired professional will perform all job duties and responsibilities in a courteous and customer-focused manner, while passionately incorporating Insight\'s Core Values and their "personal touch" in order to instill a positive experience throughout all customers.

Duties:

  • Manages labor and operational costs to ensure effective staffing, facility hours/amenities and member services while operating within the corporate budget.
  • Maintains superior customer care throughout all duties and processes, often with a particular focus on membership expansion/retention
  • Recruits, hires, trains, supervises, disciplines and terminates staff as necessary
  • Interacts with members in a positive and personable manner, handling any concerns/complaints and incidents such as accidents, emergencies, theft, etc. in a timely and professional manner
  • Promotes the facility, services, amenities, and special programs to help increase usage
  • Collaborates with other Departments to develop programs, promotions and specials for membership expansion/retention and patient referrals
  • Maintains active and current prescriptions for all patients participating in prescribed gym services
  • Oversees and ensures routine health/safety checks and manages the maintenance, repairs and cleaning of the equipment and facility
  • Proactively maintains inventory, stock, supply records and receipts, and recommends purchases on equipment and supplies for our offices, pool, and the rest of the facility
  • Creates and/or approves schedules and shift changes
  • Participates in our fitness center programming, group classes and special events as appropriate to help facilitate and foster relationships with current/potential members and guests
  • Assists Front Desk staff with covering shifts; greeting members; answering phones and member inquiries; checking members in and out; and Point-of-Sale transactions as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Able to provide eligibility for employment for any U.S. employer
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Fitness Management, Healthcare Administration, Kinesiology, Exercise Science or other related health sciences/business curriculum from an accredited college or university strongly preferred, or equivalent amount of experience
  • Previous experience in management roles or health/wellness roles with significant leadership responsibility required
  • Current First Aid and CPR/AED certifications (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)
  • Previous experience with roles focusing on demonstrating superior customer service
  • Previous experience maximizing existing service lines to promote growth
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills are required
  • Exhibits a professional and positive image when interacting with others
  • Ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity
  • Excellent phone and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and move between responsibilities in fluid manner
  • Ability to independently problem solve
  • Proficiency with computer and emails
