Overview

We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Fish/Sashimi Poke Cutters to join our team in the fresh fish production industry. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fresh fish preparation and a strong understanding of food safety practices. As a Fish/Sashimi Poke Cutter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards while maintaining efficiency in the production environment.

Duties

Operate various cutting tools and equipment to prepare fish items according to specifications. Perform fish/sashimi poke cutting and portioning tasks with precision, ensuring consistent sizes for optimal presentation. Adhere to food safety guidelines and sanitation standards throughout the fish/sashimi poke cutting process. Assist in the packaging of finished products for distribution, ensuring proper labeling and storage. Collaborate with Receiving, Production and Office staff to maintain an organized workspace and ensure timely production schedules are met. Conduct regular inspections of cutting tools and equipment, reporting any maintenance needs or safety concerns.

Requirements

Proven experience in fish/food handling and preparation within a kitchen or food production setting. Familiarity with fish/sashimi cutting techniques and culinary skills is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to operate knives and other cutting equipment safely and efficiently. Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high-quality standards are consistently met. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining focus on tasks. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
