First Shift Maintenance

Job Description

Responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the manufacturing shop and offices; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries or requests for maintenance. This position falls under the company's safety-sensitive category. Successful candidates must comply with all company safety policies and procedures, including a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy and are subject to pre-employment, random, post-incident, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing.

Essential Duties

1. Performs a variety of duties to support the shop and offices:

a. Perform preventative maintenance on shop equipment by pulling the schedule from the log each month to know what to work on.

b. Work on buildings/grounds for any basic repairs or requests.

c. Trouble shoot and diagnose problems in high voltage electrical cabinets.

d. Use and understand a meter to identify problems in an electrical cabinet.

e. Install EMT conduit of all sizes ranging from 3/4" to 4".

f. Install all gauges of wire in EMT conduit.

g. Install breakers in electrical cabinets.

h. Clean garbage dumpsters in shops and offices.

i. Build any cabinets or structures the shop/office needs for crates and shipping.

j. Repair plumbing problems in buildings and offices as needed.

k. Keep shop power tools working properly (power cords, brushes, circuit boards, etc.).

l. Install/replace lights/fixtures/cord ends/etc. as required

2. Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.

3. Abides with the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.

4. Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the company's compliance with all regulatory requirements.

5. Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate personnel.

6. Responds to inquiries relating to his/her area, or to requests from customers, other personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.

Ancillary Duties

1. Perform tasks which are supportive in nature of the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
