Kanab City is now accepting applications for the position of Firefighter/EMT.
Firefighters are responsible for responding to emergency situations involving fires, accidents, hazardous materials, and medical crises. They work to protect lives, property, and the environment through fire suppression, rescue operations, prevention activities, and public education.
Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) provide immediate medical care and life-support services to individuals experiencing illness or injury in emergency situations. They respond to 911 calls, assess patient conditions, perform basic life support (BLS) procedures, and safely transport patients to medical facilities. EMTs operate emergency vehicles, communicate effectively with dispatchers and healthcare professionals, and maintain accurate patient care reports. The role requires quick decision-making, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure while delivering high-quality, compassionate care.
