What to Expect


We are looking for a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team at the Nevada campus. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the Testing, maintenance, inspection, and repair of fire alarm systems and components. The technician will ensure that all systems are compliant with local codes, regulations, and company standards.

What You'll Do

Perform routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems and special hazards equipment to ensure systems are operational and compliant Diagnose issues and repair faulty fire alarm or special hazard systems, replacing or repairing components such as detectors, control panels, wiring, and other system parts Install and configure fire alarm systems and components within the Nevada campus, ensuring they meet all safety and regulatory requirements Accurately complete service reports, inspection forms, and maintenance logs, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements Ensure all fire protection systems, including alarms and special hazards, meet local, state, and national fire safety codes Offer high-quality service to internal stakeholders and facility management teams, providing explanations of system performance and addressing concerns

What You'll Bring

Minimum 2 years of experience in fire alarm systems and fire protection maintenance, with proficiency in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting. Knowledge of fire sprinkler systems and special hazard equipment is a plus Fire Alarm Technician certification or equivalent (NV F Card), with the ability to obtain certification within a set timeframe Experience with VESDA, Beam Detection, and/or Siemens systems preferred Familiarity with NFPA codes, local fire codes, and safety standards related to fire alarm, sprinkler, and special hazard systems Ability to read and comprehend wiring diagrams, loop drawings, and P&ID drawings, and strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing and walking for up to 12 hours a day, lifting, pushing, and carrying up to 35 lbs., and climbing ladders or scaffolding Ability to perform tasks such as bending, reaching, crawling, kneeling, and twisting for extended periods, and respond to safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, safety shoes, and reflective vests
