Key Responsibilities



This position is the face of The Goodmark experience.

Guest Experience



Welcome guests warmly and provide attentive, intuitive service throughout their dining experience.

Present menus, describe dishes, and offer informed recommendations on food, wine, and cocktails.

Take and relay food and beverage orders accurately, ensuring timing and order precision.

Maintain a high level of awareness and responsiveness to guest cues and needs.

Handle any guest concerns with discretion, professionalism, and a focus on guest satisfaction.

Service Execution



Set and maintain table settings according to fine dining standards, including glassware, silverware, and linens.

Serve food and beverages using proper service techniques, including wine presentation and course clearing.

Coordinate seamlessly with kitchen and bar staff to ensure efficient service flow.

Monitor the timing of courses to ensure an even and enjoyable dining pace.

Product Knowledge



Maintain a thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation.

Understand wine pairings, spirits, and specialty cocktails to make expert recommendations.

Stay informed on daily specials, seasonal changes, and chef's features.

Teamwork & Professionalism



Support fellow staff and management to ensure a cohesive and smooth service.

Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor consistent with fine dining standards.

Participate in pre-service briefings, tastings, and training sessions.

Uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards in all service areas.

Qualifications



Minimum of 2 years' experience in upscale or fine dining service required.

In-depth knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service standards.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction.

Ability to remain calm and gracious under pressure.

Must possess or be able to obtain appropriate food and beverage service certifications (e.g., food handler's card, TIPS).

Physical Requirements:



Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Lift and carry trays, glassware, and dishware up to 25 lbs.

Frequent reaching, bending, and stooping.

Schedule:



Must be available for evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs.
