We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Fine Dining Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service in a high-end dining environment. As a Fine Dining Server, you will be responsible for creating memorable dining experiences for our guests through attentive service, extensive menu knowledge, and a commitment to excellence.
Duties
Greet and seat guests in a warm and welcoming manner.
Present menus and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage offerings.
Take accurate orders and ensure timely delivery of food and drinks.
Upsell menu items and promote daily specials to enhance guest experience.
Maintain knowledge of wine pairings and assist guests with selections.
Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments through POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables promptly.
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe dining environment.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and address any guest concerns promptly.
Provide exceptional guest relations by anticipating needs and responding effectively to feedback.
Skills
Proven experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to create positive guest interactions.
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
Familiarity with food handling, preparation, and safety standards in the food industry.
Ability to perform basic math for order processing and cash handling accurately.
Experience with restaurant management systems such as OpenTable is a plus.
Culinary experience or knowledge is advantageous for menu discussions with guests.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
