We are seeking a passionate and creative Fine Arts Teacher to inspire students in developing their artistic talents and appreciation for the visual arts. The ideal candidate will foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. This role involves designing engaging lessons aligned with state standards, integrating various art disciplines, and promoting artistic growth through hands-on learning experiences and exhibitions.
Responsibilities:
Create a positive and inclusive classroom culture where students feel encouraged to express themselves through the visual arts
Build strong, supportive relationships with students and families to foster artistic, academic, and personal growth
Design and implement student-centered art instruction aligned with curriculum standards and school goals
Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse learning needs of all students, including those with special education services and multilingual learners
Teach across multiple visual art disciplines, balancing creative exploration and technical skill development
Assess and evaluate student work through portfolios, projects, and exhibitions
Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art instruction with other subjects and support whole-child development
Curate and display student artwork for school and community events
Maintain a safe, engaging, and organized art studio environment
Qualifications:
NJ Teacher Certification or Certificate of Eligibility in Art Education (required)
Bachelor's degree in Art Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
Minimum of two years of teaching experience preferred
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Ability to engage and inspire students across grade levels and abilities
Demonstrated commitment to equity, creativity, and continuous professional growth
