Job Description

The North Dakota Find-Safe project, located at the ND Center for Persons with Disabilities at Minot State University, is seeking applicants to serve as a Project Specialist. The individual hired for this position will work with healthcare agencies, law enforcement, public safety agencies, non-profit organizations, and tribal community to implement programs and protocol designed to prevent and respond effectively to the wandering of vulnerable individuals. Specific duties will include:

Response training to agency staff Review and modification of emergency protocol for school officials and first responders Implement notification systems

Position Requirements

Qualified applicants should have the following qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a human service-related (education, special education, social work, etc.) field; other degrees or applicants with some formal education will be considered. Preference will be given to applicants holding a master's degree. Preference will be given to individuals with experience working in the disability field. Experience working in an office setting with knowledge about MS Office Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Be self-directed and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks via multiple supervisors and manage time efficiently. Ability to communicate professionally with people with disabilities, constituents, and staff. Successfully complete a criminal history background check.
