General Summary



The Financial Strategy Consultant (FSC) is a knowledgeable and client-focused professional who provides expert service in a variety of finance and general management areas. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial management strategies and the ability to build lasting client relationships. The FSC collaborates closely with client staff and G&G personnel to ensure financial records are maintained in accordance with G&G standard operating procedures and to facilitate the issuance of timely and accurate financial statements. The FSC is a hands-on position responsible for collaborating with client staff on a variety of financial, accounting, and administrative matters.

Key Responsibilities:



Financial Data Management and Analysis -

Identifytrends, inefficiencies, and opportunities. Montor the client's financial health.

Strategic Planning

- Develop both short and long-term plans to achieve financial goals.

Risk Management -

The FSC assists the client in identifying potential areas of risk and assists in developing strategies to mitigate financial risks.

To achieve the key responsibilities, the FSC will:

Assist and support client leadership to ensure sound financial decision-making that is in the long-term best interest of the organization's mission. Answer financial questions and address concerns. Monitor market trends and adjust plans accordingly to help clients achieve their financial goals. Collects and analyzes data to prepare financial forecasts and suggest strategies to address challenges and leverage strengths. Analyzes revenue, expenses, cash flows, and balance sheets to optimize profitability and transparency. Implement financial and accounting best practices and oversee critical accounting procedures to ensure compliance with financial reporting and banking regulations. Maintain up-to-date client records and meet compliance requirements. Oversee the flow of cash and financial instruments. Research and address credit card & cash issues. Collaborate with the G&G Team to ensure holistic service and strategy delivery. Collaborate with client staff to ensure the accurate and timely processing of all invoices. Plan, direct, and coordinate clients' risk and insurance programs to control risks and losses. Assist in the preparation of financial and regulatory reports. Prepare operational and risk reports for management analysis. Support budget and forecasting activities. Analyze general ledger transactions to ensure appropriate coding for transactions. Assist in month-end close including determining the correct coding for expense transactions. Assist with annual audit and meeting other statutory requirements. Foster positive working relationships between internal and client staff. Review and process payments. Ensure proper coding, in compliance with Chart of Accounts. Adhere to procedures to ensure custody and control of records. Evaluate client's accounting and collection procedures, investment activities, and systems. Assist in the development/implementation of new procedures to enhance the internal workflow. Attend board and committee meetings for assigned clients which are normally scheduled outside of normal working hours and may require travel in and out of the Denver metro area.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field required. Master's or MBA preferred. Proven experience in any of the following areas: Management and/or financial consulting, Accounting, or auditing, Budget development and administration Familiarity with accounting and reporting requirements of the Colorado Department of Education, specifically for charter schools, is a big plus. Working knowledge and experience with QuickBooks strongly preferred. Experience in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, and Office. Ability to work on multiple tasks and prioritize meeting deadlines. Intellectual curiosity, meaning a strong desire to explore, question, and solve problems. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills. Ability to analyze complex financial information and make sound recommendations. Successfully pass reference checks and background investigations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
