Job Summary
SKYCTC is hiring a Financial Specialist II! Join our team and play a key role in delivering an exceptional campus experience! In this position, you'll help students, staff, faculty, and community members get connected to the right departments, programs, and resources. You'll also keep our operations running smoothly by coordinating purchasing activities and managing accounts payable to ensure timely, efficient financial processing.
Job Duties:
The ideal candidate for this position will provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff as well as:
Promotes a professional image of the college by providing excellent customer service, while sharing accurate information with students, staff, faculty, and the community. Connecting students and the community to appropriate departments, programs, and resources
Coordinate purchasing activities and manage accounts payable for SKYCTC via procurement card.
Prepare and process accounts payable documents and ensure payment accuracy.
Audit College travel and Expense Reimbursement Requests
Ensure compliance with KCTCS travel and purchasing-related policies and procedures.
Tracking, organizing, and maintaining accurate records of inventory and asset items.
Receive and process contracting documents for the college.
Serve as back-up to Student Accounts.
Intermediate computer knowledge with Microsoft Office Excel.
Contributes to the overall success of the Business Office by performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree (Accounting or Finance) and two years of related work experience or equivalent. The ideal candidate must possess exceptional customer service, strong oral communication skills, a high level of professionalism, thrive in a team environment, strong work ethic, be experienced with handling confidential information, be oriented, adjust well to changing priorities, proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge of financial aid process, and a self-starter.
