Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of the company's accounting operations, including general ledger, AR/AP, and financial reporting

Lead and develop a small accounting/finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Lead the monthly and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements

Monitor, analyze, and report on key financial metrics, including but not limited to manufacturing costs, margins, and inventory valuation

Develop and manage financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in coordination with senior leadership

Maintain and enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures to support compliance, financial integrity and operational efficiency

Collaborate with operations and production teams to improve cost tracking, job costing, and inventory accuracy

Partner with supply chain and procurement to assess financial impact of purchasing and production decisions

Support audit and tax processes by preparing documentation and working with external auditors and tax advisors

Evaluate and implement ERP and system improvements to streamline accounting and reporting workflows

Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to support business growth and decision-making

Be hands-on and flexible, stepping into cross-functional projects and supporting other departments as needed

Requirements



Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (required); master's degree or MBA (preferred)

CPA certification (strongly preferred); CMA or other relevant financial certification a plus

7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role

Prior experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or production-based environment (required)

Strong understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory management principles

Experience managing full-cycle accounting, including month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting

Proficiency with ERP systems common in manufacturing, SAP B1 specifically

Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, financial modeling, and data analysis

Demonstrated experience improving internal controls, cost tracking, and operational efficiency

Familiarity with standard costing, job costing, BOMs, and production workflows

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

Nimble and adaptable, with a hands-on approach and a willingness to wear many hats in a dynamic, fast-growing organization

Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across departments, including operations, engineering, and supply chain

Supervisory Responsibility



This position currently has 1 direct report.

Physical Demands



Must be able to sit and/or stand for up to 8 hours a day.

Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects
