Parent Support Network of RI (PSN), the Prevent Child Abuse Rhode Island Chapter (PCA-RI) is a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to the delivery of child and family-centered peer services and engaging family, youth, and young adults to be leaders in raising public awareness and promoting state policy and practice changes needed to ensure the safety, health and wellbeing of Rhode Island children, youth and families.
Position Summary
The PSN Finance Controller position will lead the management of fiscals for our nonprofit finances and ensure federal and state audit compliance. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's or master's degree, and full-charge bookkeeping experience with nonprofit organizations. The candidate should possess strong business administration and experience managing fiscal ledgers for contracts and grants with state and federal government agencies, including Medicaid. Candidates should have strong experience with QuickBooks, excel, and Microsoft office-based applications. Strong written and verbal communication skills with funders and partners.
Roles & Responsibilities
Work with Executive leadership to plan and manage budgets, fiscal expenditures, and invoices for all Federal, State, Community, and Private contracts, grants, and projects.
Participate in meetings with funders and their fiscal monitors to ensure we are aligned with contracts, grants, and project deliverables, staffing, and assist with submission of all invoices and reports in timely manner.
Work with Human Resources to ensure that all staff pay, benefits, and deductions are charged to the correct departments for their time spent working under each contract, grant, and funding sources.
Track all time billing with Medicaid and work with state and third-party billers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Assist with daily fiscal needs and payment of all operational bills and coordinate and communicate with vendors with any changes needed to support agreements and payments.
Assist with review of monthly and annual reconciliation of financial statements to ensure that all revenue and expenditures are properly booked in accordance with each funding source and are audit ready.
Ensure Federal and state compliance, assist with preparation and conduct annual audits and 990 filings.
Work with Executive leadership to update accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls annually.
Meet with the PSN Board and Treasurer quarterly to review fiscals and prepare and present fiscal reports and serve on the PSN fund development subcommittee to strategize funding action steps that adhere to our mission and towards growth and sustainability.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
