Overview

Tmat Products, LLC is a consumer goods company based in Mustang, OK, specializing in made-in-America products sold primarily through e-commerce platforms like Shopify and Amazon. We're expanding our operations with new distributor partnerships and a focus on efficient, scalable processes. As we grow our team, we're seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and provide strategic insights in a collaborative environment.

In this full-time, on-site role, you'll lead accounts receivable and payable, bookkeeping, and payroll using tools like QuickBooks Online, Gusto, and Ramp. Responsibilities include optimizing employee benefits and vendor costs (such as shipping), auditing external tax
services for multi-state compliance, developing departmental budgets, and
preparing financial reports and forecasts. You'll work closely with our
external CPA, implement process improvements, and support business growth
through strategic analysis and internal controls.

We're seeking candidates with 7-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong expertise in AR/AP and financial controls, and proficiency in relevant software. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA certification is essential. Competitive salary ($85K-$120K base, depending on experience) with benefits. If you're

Responsibilities

Lead AR management, including invoicing, payment terms, early discounts, and commission calculations for sales reps and distributors; implement automations and workflows in QuickBooks Online to reduce manual work. Oversee AP, bookkeeping, and financial reconciliations using tools like QuickBooks Online, Gusto for payroll, and Ramp for expenses. Develop, track, and analyze departmental budgets, including variance reporting and forecasting to align with growth goals. Audit and optimize external tax services for multi-state nexus compliance (currently in ~12 states), ensuring accuracy and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Manage employee benefits administration and negotiate with providers for cost efficiencies; extend negotiations to other services like shipping/freight and vendors. Collaborate closely with external CPA on tax filings, audits, financial strategy, and regulatory compliance. Prepare advanced financial reports, cash flow projections, and strategic analyses to inform leadership decisions. Drive process improvements, internal controls, and integrations across systems (e.g., Shopify/Amazon data syncing) to support scaling. Mentor junior finance staff (if applicable) and contribute to fundraising, valuations, or expansion planning as the business grows. Other duties as assigned to ensure operational agility in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

7-10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with expertise in AR/AP, budgeting, and financial controls in a growing e-commerce or B2B setting. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification required. Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online; experience with Gusto, Ramp, or similar tools; familiarity with multi-state tax compliance and e-commerce platforms a plus. Strong analytical and negotiation skills for cost optimizations, audits, and vendor management. Proven ability to implement automations, enforce accountability, and provide strategic insights in high-growth environments. Excellent communication and leadership skills; comfortable working independently while reporting directly to the owner/CEO. High-energy, proactive mindset with a focus on efficiency and scalability.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
