Job Description

The Salz Group, a QSR Franchisee, is seeking out Financial Controller to continue driving success in our Finance Dept. As a growing company, this in-person role will report directly to the CFO and will oversee end-to-end financial management for a portfolio of

50+ Quick Service Restaurants

and affiliated personal entities. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, automation of processes, and delivery of actionable insights to the CFO and leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting

Ensure

monthly and quarterly book closure

with accurate revenue accruals and cost provisions. Conduct

GL ledger analysis

and prepare the

monthly financial commentary pack

. Maintain accurate

P&L and balance sheet reporting

across all entities and review the same with CFO on monthly basis. Prepare and deliver a

Weekly CFO Dashboard

summarizing key financial metrics, trends, and variances.

Cash Flow & Treasury

Prepare and review

daily cash flow forecasts

, coordinate with AP and Development teams for funding and projections. Monitor

banking covenants

and assist CFO with lender reviews. Review

rent payment schedules

against lease terms and ensure timely payments.

Financial Planning & Analysis

Review

Actual vs Budget

with CFO and provide variance explanations. Support

quarterly bonus calculations

and performance reviews. Conduct

weekly and monthly financial review meetings

with CFO and senior management.

Expense Control & Compliance

Review

Sales Tax

filings for accuracy and compliance. Conduct

weekly reviews of corporate credit card expenses

and prepare weekly spend reports for CFO. Oversee

Accounts Payable open invoice reviews

and ensure timely resolution.

Process Improvement & Automation

Drive

automation of repetitive accounting tasks

to improve efficiency. Strengthen internal controls and enhance accuracy of reporting systems.

Leadership & Collaboration

Coordinate, Support and guide onshore/offshore accounting staff for accuracy and timeliness.

Education & Experience:

The right candidate will possess a minimum of 8 years of progressive finance/accounting experience, with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, required. An advanced Proficiency in Excel and ERP as well as excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills is essential. Having knowledge of SAGE, BILL.COM, and Restaurant-365 would be an added advantage, as well as experience in automation tools. Those candidates with previous experience within retail and/or multi-unit restaurant environments will be heavily considered.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
