As a Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in steering the financial health of our organization. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Your expertise will guide us in maintaining accurate financial records and managing our budgeting processes effectively. What you'll do

Lead the preparation of financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Oversee cash management processes to ensure optimal liquidity and financial stability. Manage a team of portfolio accountants working on individual properties. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the integrity of the general ledger accounting system. Prepare monthly cash flow analysis reports to executive team. Manage CEO's personal investments and PFS for lenders. Collaborate with various departments to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses that drive business performance. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and YARDI to streamline financial operations and reporting. Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and ensure adherence to non-profit and governmental accounting standards when applicable. Assist in underwriting and analyzing potential investment opportunities.

Basic qualifications

Strong understanding of financial concepts, double-entry bookkeeping, and payroll processes. Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting roles.

Preferred qualifications

Familiarity with cash management strategies and account reconciliation practices. Experience in preparing financial report writing that communicates insights effectively. Ability to analyze accounts for discrepancies and provide actionable recommendations based on findings.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
