We are currently seeking a Financial Controller to join our leadership team and help ensure our financial operations are as strong and dependable as the care we provide. Key Responsibilities



####

Financial Strategy & Oversight



Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and cash flow reports Lead budgeting, forecasting, and longterm financial planning processes Monitor financial trends and advise leadership on risk or opportunity areas

Payroll & Billing



Process biweekly payroll accurately and on schedule Manage vendor and payer billing (private pay, CADI, Elderly Waiver), track aging, and follow up as needed Ensure proper documentation and financial recordkeeping for audits
####

Regulatory & Internal Compliance



Maintain compliance with DHS guidelines, 144G requirements, and applicable federal/state laws Manage tax filings, reporting obligations, and financial audits Develop and maintain internal controls and financial policies

Team Collaboration & Leadership



Serve as a financial thought partner to the Chief Experience Officer and Director of Operations Support homelevel leadership in understanding budgets, cost controls, and spending Contribute to license renewals, occupancy reports, and strategic documentation

Qualifications

Required:



Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum 10 years of financial experience, including leadership responsibilities Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel, and financial reporting tools Proven experience managing payroll, budgets, and billing systems Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred:



Experience in senior care, assisted living, healthcare, or nonprofit sectors Familiarity with CADI, Elderly Waiver, and Medicaid billing Understanding of MN DHS financial and licensing standards
