The position of Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for measuring, analyzing, and reporting data for profitability, investment, ALM and budgeting, including the maintenance of related modules. In addition, the Financial Analyst is responsible for maintaining the Vendor Management program.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Maintains the investment portfolio, monitoring performance, performing technical analysis (backward-looking), and making recommendations for future investment alternatives to support return and risk objectives
Oversees the credit union cash management process in relation to cash needs/investments
Maintains data input of any internal budgeting/ALM software
Assists in the forecasting/budgeting process
Assists in the cost/benefit analysis of credit union existing/proposed services
Assists in preparation of monthly reports, including ALCO, investment, budget variance reports
Prepares the NCUA 5300 report
Administers and maintains the Vendor Management program
Administers the Reporting Analytics program
Performs other financial duties as assigned by the CFO
Qualifications
:
:
o Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Finance or Accounting
o Previous experience as a financial analyst or similar position in a financial institution preferred
:
o Sound financial analysis techniques including cash flow analysis, NEV, IRR analysis, cost/benefit analysis, budgeting
o Knowledge of financial institution products, services, policies and procedures
o Knowledgeable in all aspects of financial institution operations, to include but not limited to ALM, accounting, financial reporting and investment
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
o Excellent mathematical, analytical and decision making skills
o Aptitude for detail and accuracy
o Strong verbal and written communication skills
o Strong time management and organizational skills
o Self-motivating, able to act on own initiative
