The Role

As we continue to grow as QuidelOrtho, we are seeking a Financial Analyst who will be responsible for providing financial leadership and support to the Global Supply Chain organization. Will have specific responsibilities for supporting the monthly close, forecasting, and variance analysis for the US Supply Chain Team and have responsibility for consolidating the results and preparing executive-level reporting packages for the Global Supply Chain Organization. The individual will play a key role in identifying and implementing Key Performance Indicators, developing annual operating plans and forecast updates, monitoring financial performance throughout the year, and working closely with the Supply Chain leadership to achieve business goals and create shareholder value. This position reports directly to the Finance Manager. This position can be located in Raritan, NJ, Waltham, MA, or San Diego, CA.

The Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly expense review process for budgets related to Warehousing, Packaging, Freight, Scrap.
  • Review actual monthly performance against budgets and provide variance commentary.
  • Record necessary journal entries to properly reflect financial position.
  • Lead the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), multi-year strategic plan and periodic forecasts.
  • Assist in consolidating Global Supply Chain financials (costs, headcount, savings, etc).
  • Prepare presentations for senior leadership to relay understanding of business drivers and overall performance.
  • Partner with the North America Warehousing Team and Inventory Analyst to ensure proper inventory/financial controls are in place.
  • Support other ad-hoc activities as needed.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
The Individual

Required:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree is required, preferably within the area of Accounting or Finance.
  • 1 - 3 years of relevant experience in Accounting and Finance.
  • Relevant systems and computer skills required, including advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with Vlookups, pivot tables, creating presentations, etc.
  • Strong accounting knowledge.
  • The candidate must possess the ability to partner with associates at all levels of the organization and have good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective analytical and problem solving skills, plus demonstrates drive and a willingness to take ownership for tasks and responsibilities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
  • Effective communication, collaboration and influencing skills.
  • Able to build effective partnerships with internal customers and work as part of a team.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Highly motivated with strong analytical skills and intellectual curiosity.
  • Demonstrate sound work ethics, respect, team building, and cultural sensitivity and awareness.
Preferred:
  • Understanding of cost accounting principles is a plus.
Salary Transparency

Salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including: education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on that facts and circumstances of each case. Salary range for this position is $53,000 to $96,000 and is bonus eligible. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time) and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
