Position Overview




As a key member of the Operations Finance team, the

Financial Analyst (FA)

provides actionable financial insights and supports operational decision-making at the plant level. This role partners closely with both Plant and HQ teams to ensure financial integrity, optimize costs, strengthen internal controls, and develop a deep understanding of the plant's operations and loss points. The FA is expected to build strong relationships across teams to drive operational and financial improvements.

Key Responsibilities



Analyze weekly and monthly actual vs. target costs and identify root causes of variances. Partner with plant operations to implement and track cost reduction initiatives. Review and close manufacturing batches, ensuring accurate financial recording. Capture and report on plant and division KPIs, providing insights for leadership discussions. Conduct inventory analysis, support physical counts, and manage adjustments with proper approvals. Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and other month-end documentation. Assist with forecasts, annual budgets, and ongoing financial modeling. Maintain internal control documentation and support compliance initiatives. Take on special projects to improve processes, reporting, and data accuracy. Use tools such as MS Excel, PowerBI and ThoughtSpot to visualize, analyze, and communicate financial data effectively. Collaborate across teams, presenting insights and recommendations to plant leadership.

Requirements



Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of relevant finance or cost accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing

Skills and Capabilities



Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with cross-functional teams. Experience with MS Excel, PowerBI, ThoughtSpot or similar reporting/visualization tools.

Working Environment



Travel: up to 5% as needed. Office-based within the plant; comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
