As a Financial Analyst on the Finance Team, you will report directly to the Finance Manager and will play a critical role in providing dedicated support to the Client Team organization. This role blends sponsor pricing with business unit reporting and analytics. The Analyst will collaborate closely with functional leaders and senior finance partners to conduct pricing analysis, monitor financial performance, and support revenue forecasting.

We are looking for a detail-oriented, self-starter, with a high level of professionalism that will enable our team to address complex business questions - primarily related to sponsor pricing and analytics as well as business unit performance and compensation reporting. Responsibilities:

• Proactively deliver standard reporting analyses that seek to improve financial performance and evolve the distribution model.
• Respond to analytic inquiries regarding business trends and opportunities
• Provide insights and summaries in clear and concise documents that provoke discussion and drive action.
• Develop insightful reporting to help leaders better understand performance, areas of opportunity, and drive outcomes.
• Partner with the Business Intelligence group to automate key reports.
• Work with Financial Models and Pricing Models.

Requirements:

• A minimum of one year of financial services or related experience, including some experience in the following areas: customer or business analytics, marketing and pricing analysis, corporate strategy, FP&A.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Statistics, MIS or related analytical field strongly preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with practical experience in financial or statistical modeling and quantitative analysis of large datasets
• Proficient with MS Excel and significant experience with analysis of large data sets. Experience with supporting tools, e.g. Salesforce Reporting/Dashboards, SQL, and/or Tableau nice to have, but not required.
• Passion for driving progress while combining both creative and critical thinking skills to solve complex, loosely defined problems.
• Robust sense of intellectual curiosity and willingness to experiment to find solutions
• Ability to translate complex business challenges into concise overview documents with digestible and insightful business plans

Edelman Financial Engines takes a market-based approach to pay. The expected base salary range for this role nationally is $60,600 to $80,700. However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans, and 401(k) contributions.
