Financial Analysis Lead - Commercial

Where You\xe2\x80\x99ll Work: This is a hybrid role that is based out of our FishHawk office (located at 13830 Circa Crossing Drive, Lithia, FL). Presently, our Finance team works 3 days per week onsite and 2 days remotely.

The Financial Analyst Lead \xe2\x80\x93 Commercial will be responsible for leading cross-functional business intelligence, performance management data systems, financial data science and financial data strategy for the Commercial organization. This person will partner with Sales, Product Management, and Marketing leadership to develop analytical insights and enterprise reporting solutions that enhance profitability and commercial performance. This position will include many cross-functional opportunities including project work with Product Management, Market Analysis, China, India, Supply Chain, Finance, and other corporate leaders.

What will you do?

Serve as Commercial Finance subject matter expert and key project contributor in driving IT reporting and design projects. Serve as super user for various Business Intelligence platforms including PowerBI and SAP HANA/BOBJ. Drive innovation and standardization in reporting and financial processes, tools, and analysis. Support financial, performance management and metrics reporting automation and rationalization across the Commercial organization. Support architecture, consolidation and integration of financial and other data systems for the commercial organization, which includes competitive intelligence, industry data, metric/performance and other business intelligence data. Manage future application of machine learning and other advanced data science and analytical methodologies within Commercial Finance.

Partner with Commercial teams and internal stakeholders in development and continual execution of profit optimization and related analytical processes in support of Sales and Product Management. Utilize various degrees of predictive, prescriptive, and descriptive analytic methodologies to support the execution of profit optimization decision making including trade-off analysis. Provide support for the pricing and sales decision-making process. Identify performance improvement opportunities and challenge the business. Provide Sales Managers with customer insight and support optimal pricing methodologies, sourcing, and demand planning decisions. Leverage technology to enhance and automate financial reporting and decision support tools to better enable financial analysis, reporting, and decision support to partner with Sales, Product Management, Finance and other Commercial leaders.

Analyze and report financial results for Mosaic China and India Distribution businesses. Coordinate and consolidate International Distribution business financial budgets and forecasts. Analyze, challenge the business, identify and recommend performance and cost improvement opportunities and facilitate a meaningful review of individual country budgets/forecast with Commercial leadership. Work towards improving the forecasting process in International Distribution business.

Provide analysis and reporting support for Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations, Accounting Research, Financial Reporting, FP&A and other related teams. Provide support in the development of financial and performance management presentation material for the Commercial organization and partner with Corporate FP&A on financial and performance reporting requirements. Provide ad hoc reports as required and automate where possible. Evaluate processes for best practice solutions. Work on special projects, strategy development support and presentations as necessary.

Provide mentoring and coaching to other analyst team members on reporting, business intelligence, process improvements, KPI dashboards, visualizations, performance management and metric development. Other job duties and projects as assigned.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have the Following:

7+ years of experience in accounting, financial or business analysis, preferably in operational analysis and / or a continuous improvement role

Experience working on multiple projects / cross-functional initiatives

Strong understanding of financial management and generally accepted accounting principal (GAAP) * Expert-level experience in business intelligence report writing, financial data strategy, technology enablement

• Experience in performance management and metric dashboard development

Demonstrated expert proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) * Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Advanced knowledge of SAP data and ERP system required
• Substantial experience/knowledge of HANA/BOBJ, PowerBI or other visualization software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

Bonus Points if You Have the Following:

Business Intelligence and Analysis certifications

Experience in the fertilizer or other commodity industry * Prior experience working with commercial or supply chain

• Advanced data mining capabilities including the ability work and manage large sets of complex data

Experience in statistical analysis and predictive modeling

Database architecture and BI deployment experience
