What you'll do
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare and maintain financial reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Conduct bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliations to ensure financial integrity.
Perform journal entries and manage double-entry bookkeeping to maintain precise financial records.
Collaborate with team members to develop budgets and provide account analysis for informed decision-making.
Utilize accounting software: QuickBooks Online. Additional grant websites for reporting and financial draw-downs.
Assist in governmental accounting tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Basic qualifications
Proficient in accounting software and financial concepts, including GAAP principles.
Strong understanding of corporate accounting practices and non-profit accounting standards.
Experience with account reconciliation, budgeting, and financial report writing.
Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills for account analysis.
Preferred qualifications
Familiarity with public accounting practices.
Experience in tax preparation or related tax experience.
Experience in working with Program's Funding source requirements to ensure compliance as far as financial compliance and reporting required. (i.e., reimbursement request monthly for Governor's Crime Commission, Office of Juvenile Justice, other federal grants and county requirements.)
