Superior Completion Services is currently seeking a Finance Manager for our office in Houston, TX ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Uses learned accounting principles to ensure assure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and SOX 404
Performs complex accounting transactions in accordance with corporate financial standards and GAAP driving completion in an accurate and timely manner
Manages fixed asset capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and AFE/AFD approval/analysis
Oversees and approves monthly counts of inventory at locations and manages inventory financial transactions (up to 25% travel required)
Manages revenue recognition of PSLs in compliance with corporate financial standards and GAAP
Performs monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial reporting
Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and/or inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports findings
Support internal and external auditors in their execution of financial & operational exams
Drive and develops efficiencies with respect to accounting systems, process and procedures
Documents and coordinates the implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures (SOX compliant)
Provides reports and analytics for predetermined KPIs, Revenue, PPV, COGS, Margins, etc..
Drive efficiencies for standard costing and perform variance and margin analysis
Supports the annual budget preparation and consolidation
Provides/performs ad hoc analysis and/or assignments at management\xe2\x80\x99s discretion
Manage, record property and sales taxes

Responsible for Analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
Maintains internal policies and procedures.
Maintains a system of internal control over financial reporting.
Assist in division-specific internal and external financial audits.
Analyses division product service lines.
Manage and perform monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
Reports the organization\xe2\x80\x99s finances to management.
Makes recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures.
Supervise accounting staff (one or two employees)
Be able to review financial statements with management personnel.
