Role Summary

The Finance & IT Manager is a hands-on, hybrid leader who owns day-to-day accounting, cost and margin analytics, cash management, and ERP/data systems. You'll tighten financial controls, modernize reporting, and ensure our technology directly supports production, purchasing, and customer delivery.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinance (60%)

Close & Controls:

Own monthly close, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and internal controls.

Cost Accounting:

Maintain standard costs, labor/overhead rates, drive variance analysis and margin improvement at the SKU/collection level.

FP&A & Pricing:

Build rolling forecasts, weekly cash flow, and dashboards; partner with Sales/Operations on pricing, promotions, and truckload deals.

Working Capital:

Manage AR/AP, credit/collections, inventory turns, and supplier terms to optimize cash.

Compliance:

Coordinate tax filings with external CPA, sales/use tax, fixed assets, insurance, and banking relationships.

Procurement Finance:

Support vendor RFQs, landed cost modeling, and make/buy analysis.
IT/Systems (30%)

ERP Ownership:

Serve as ERP admin, master data governance, user roles, and change requests.

Reporting & BI:

Build self-serve reports, production KPIs, WIP and quote-to-cash analytics.

Integrations & EDI:

Oversee integrations across purchasing, production, shipping, and accounting.

Cybersecurity & Uptime:

Coordinate backups, endpoint security, access controls, and vendor priorities.
Leadership & Cross-Functional (10%)

Team:

Lead a small accounting / IT team

Process Improvement:

Kaizen mindset...map, standardize, and automate high-impact workflows across order entry, scheduling, and invoicing.

Stakeholder Partner:

Translate plant realities into financial/IT roadmaps; communicate clearly with Production, Purchasing, and Sales.
Qualifications

Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field. 5-8+ years progressive experience in

manufacturing

finance, including cost accounting and ERP ownership. Mastery of Excel; working knowledge of

Power BI

or similar. Demonstrated success improving closes, tightening controls, and building decision-ready reporting. Experience administering an ERP (Epicor/Sage/NetSuite/Microsoft/Nav/BC or similar). Strong communicator who can operate on the plant floor and in the boardroom.
Nice to Have

CPA/CMA (or progress toward). Experience with EDI, barcoding/scanning, and shop-floor data capture. Familiarity with hospitality or furniture manufacturing environments.
