Crow Wing County has an operating budget of $103 million and we are looking for a strategic finance partner to help shape the financial performance and future of our data-driven environment. The successful candidate will be a skilled communicator who can leverage cross-functional goals and ideals into measurable outcomes that build on Crow Wing County\'s nationally recognized excellence in financial reporting, taking the organization to the next level of distinction in leading-edge finance practices. The Director of Finance is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the County. This leadership position will have responsibility for financial management and planning as well as broader organizational management while participating in the development and execution of organizational vision, strategy, and goals with respect to programs, people and resources. This position will function in a CFO level with accountability for promoting and sustaining a strong fiscal position for the county through the establishment of sound financial policies and controls, insightful fiscal analysis, and effective accounting practices. The Director serves as a key resource and advisor to the administrator, senior managers and the board of commissioners. The incumbent is accountable for leading the development of the county financial vision and strategy in a manner that ensures alignment with policy maker interests, is supportive of current and long-term organizational goals and complies with all financial management and reporting regulations. The Director will lead and administer the county\'s annual operating budget, the capital improvement plan, the investment and treasury functions, and all accounting and payroll systems. Additionally, the Director oversees the preparation of the county\'s annual financial report, performs analysis and reporting for all key stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting, Business Management; or related field or equivalent knowledge gained through experience
• Ten or more years of experience of progressively responsible management experience in the financial field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
