SUMMARY The primary objective of this role is to work directly with business stakeholders to understand their needs in order to design and develop basic bots that can automate manual processes and transform them into useful structures \xe2\x80\x93 journal entries, analytical reports, extracts for data warehouses and dashboards. This position is also responsible for creating process documentation for all bots built and updating the software administrators regarding the requirements to support the new functionality KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work alongside the Financial Systems Manager to learn customer business processes and gain an understanding of all data sources in order to quickly assess feasibility of proposed automation
Work with the Financial Systems Manager to identify the technical requirements to design and develop bots for automation requests
Build simple bots for approved project proposals following established internal departmental controls and best practices for project implementation
Complete parallel testing of new bots in the development environment before the team administrators move them into production
Train an accountant (if a reconciliation is involved) or an administrator (for fully automated bots) to assume responsibility for completed bots after the quality assurance review has been completed
Create detailed process documentation for all bots (with images) of all data sources used and the functionality of the job processes within the bot
Create service level agreements (SLAs) for business customers outlining the Business Process Automation (BPA) team\xe2\x80\x99s responsibilities versus the business owner\xe2\x80\x99s responsibilities with minimal supervision
Maintain exception reporting for bots created on behalf of the end users and their senior management
Analyze trends in performance of completed projects and discuss with the Financial Systems Manager process improvement ideas to create efficiencies via modifications to file definitions and/or file mappings
Create Share Point tickets (as needed) for assistance with projects in the development environment
Assist the team administrators with understanding maintenance tickets from accountants and auxiliary developers from other Finance teams
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science or equivalent
Minimum 1 year experience in designing and implementing automation bots or equivalent
Project Management experience
Basic knowledge of SQL
PREFERRED:
Experience with Trintech products: ReconNET and Certification
Experience writing process design documentation
Experience with ERP systems (PeopleSoft)
FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES
Exhibit effective verbal and written communication skills with team members and business customers regarding project status updates and any risks impacting agreed upon deadlines
Experience participating in communication between the business and the Information Technology teams
Clearly document and explain business processes and automated solution designs
Work with a structured and systematic approach to design combined with an inquisitive mindset; apply problem-solving skills and get solutions to development issues
Demonstrate time management skills with an attention to detail
