Join Habitat for Humanity of Iowa as a Financial Assistant supporting the Finance & Operations Manager and Housing Programs Team. This role combines bookkeeping, document processing, and administrative support to help advance affordable housing initiatives.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have experience with financial products (loans), amortization schedules, and general accounting principles. They will be detail oriented and compliance driven. They will have a high level of experience with Excel, including creating excel formulas and spreadsheets.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day financial activities: A/P, A/R, bank reconciliations, payroll, and loan schedules
Process donations and maintain compliance with financial policies
Assist with financial reports for the Leadership team
Support housing programs with document preparation and loan processing
Provide administrative support and contribute to process improvements
Qualifications:
2+ years of finance/accounting experience
Strong Excel skills and proficiency in QuickBooks
Knowledge of GAAP and loan amortization schedules
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines
Preferred: Associate's degree in accounting
Preferred: Loan processing experience
Valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks
