Basic Job Functions:
Vulcraft \xe2\x80\x93 UT is looking for qualified candidates for a summer finance assistant position. This is a temporary position for the months of May \xe2\x80\x93 August 2023, final dates dependent on candidates\xe2\x80\x99 availability. This will not lead to permanent employment. Data entry and organization, scanning and electronic organization, teammate coverage, may be asked to assist in additional accounting and purchasing projects as needed.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Proficiency in Microsoft products
- Attention to detail
Detailed Selection Criteria:
- Strong commitment to Safety in all job aspects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent computer skills which includes but not limited to Excel and Word
- Ability to contribute effectively in a team environment
- Focus on continuous improvement
- Ability to take on large projects with a can-do attitude
Preferences:
- Extensive experience with Microsoft products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience using SAP
- Proficient typing and data entry skills
- Previous experience in an administrative role
- Interest in a finance related field a plus
