Job Description

SUMMARY:




This position will transition to a hybrid role once the employee is fully trained and receives management approval. Training will be completed on-site at our corporate office in Warwick, RI.



Under the general direction of the Financial Reporting and Budget Analyst, the Finance and Budget Specialist is responsible for assisting in the month-end close process, financial reporting, budget preparation and analysis, fixed asset management, and special projects as needed.




PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:




Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports for management in accordance with GAAP. Assist in the preparation and management of the annual budget. Assist in the preparation of monthly budget to actual analysis reports by department and work with the management team to address any variances. Assist in managing and tracking fixed assets and corresponding service contracts for all clinical equipment. Assist with accounting activities for the company. AP, AR, and month end close duties as needed. Special projects as needed.



BASIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:




Familiarity with multi-entity and intercompany accounting. Familiarity with purchasing, accounts payable, month-end close, financial statements, and fixed asset processes as related to GAAP. Experience with budget preparation including variance analysis. Experience with accounting software and intermediate Excel and Microsoft Office Suite abilities. Familiarity with cash flow statements. Self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team setting. Problem solving skills, time management skills, and the ability to meet deadlines. Excellent written, verbal, and follow-up communication skills.



EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:




Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration preferred. Five (5) years or more of related experience required.

No direct reports.
