Film Coordinator (Volunteer)

Head Coach / Coaching Staff

Indiana (Games, Practices, & Remote Editing)

Position Overview




The Film Coordinator (Volunteer) is responsible for capturing, organizing, and distributing game and practice film to support coaching strategy, player development, and team performance. This role plays a critical behind-the-scenes function by ensuring accurate, timely video footage is available for analysis, teaching, and review.


This is a

non-paid volunteer position

ideal for someone interested in football operations, coaching support, sports media, or analytics, and passionate about advancing women's football.

Key Responsibilities



Game & Practice Filming



Record home and away games from designated angles per coaching requirements Capture practice footage as requested by the coaching staff Ensure video quality, stability, and proper framing

Film Management & Distribution



Upload, label, and organize game and practice film in a timely manner Break down film by quarter, drive, or play as requested Share film with coaches and players using approved platforms

Coaching & Performance Support



Assist coaches with video review needs for scouting, play installation, and player feedback Coordinate with coaching staff on filming priorities and adjustments Maintain confidentiality of team strategies and footage

Equipment & Technical Support



Set up, operate, and break down filming equipment Ensure cameras, tripods, batteries, and storage devices are game-ready Report equipment needs or technical issues


Collaboration & Communication



Work closely with Head Coach, coordinators, and team operations Coordinate with league or opposing teams on film exchange when required

Qualifications



Required



Basic knowledge of football rules and game flow Comfortable operating video recording equipment Strong attention to detail and ability to follow filming protocols Reliability and availability on game days

Preferred



Experience with sports filming or video editing Familiarity with platforms such as Hudl, Vimeo, or similar Interest in coaching, analytics, or sports media

Physical Requirements



Ability to stand or sit for extended periods during games Ability to carry and set up filming equipment

Time Commitment



All games (home and away) Select practices and film review deadlines Additional time post-game for uploading and organizing footage
