The Field Technician must have broad technical knowledge of infrastructure solutions and perform hardware installations and logical configurations. The Field Technician will deliver excellent customer service, collaborate with the team using professional written and verbal communication, and demonstrate effective problem determination skills.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Field Technician is responsible for providing hands-on technical support and performing a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
Install, configure, and support Linux operating systems.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network equipment, including routers and switches.
Assemble, integrate, and test servers and network hardware in a staging environment to identify and prevent equipment failures.
Analyze and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently and accurately.
Rack, cable, and label equipment in data center environments according to industry standards.
Provide field support, including diagnosing equipment failures and performing replacements as needed.
Deliver timely, high-quality technical support to meet operational and customer needs.
Communicate effectively with team members and customers through clear written and verbal communication.
Perform tasks in alignment with project scope and schedules to ensure on-time project completion.
Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and service quality.
Requirements
2-5 years of technical experience in IT or a related field.
University degree in a related discipline or an equivalent professional certification.
CCNA or CCNP certification preferred.
Bilingual proficiency in Chamorro and English preferred.
Travel Requirement
This position requires approximately 25% travel.
