We are headquartered in Kenner, LA and have an office in Gonzales, LA. The combined work experience of Gulf South's principals and key employees totals over 60 years and thousands of projects. Position Description and Duties:

The CMT Field Technician is responsible for providing our clients with the highest quality professional technical services in both a field and laboratory setting. Their role will be to perform all required field and laboratory testing, monitoring daily site activities and related reporting, as well as ensuring that all projects are continuously meeting all project requirements. Previous experience in this field is preferred but is not required for this position. Below is a brief overview of some, but not all, job responsibilities:

Perform all field testing, as dispatched by the CMT Project Manager/Supervisor, in a timely manner with accuracy and efficiency Perform all laboratory testing, as deemed necessary by the CMT Project Manager/Supervisor, in a timely manner with accuracy and efficiency Ability to test a variety of materials such as concrete, soils, and asphalt to ensure that the project is following requirements and specifications Log all daily field observations and testing information into a provided software in a timely manner with precision and accuracy Communicate with the CMT Project Manager/Supervisor regarding any issues that may arise on site Provide accurate and complete documentation for every site visit including all attachments and other various paperwork applicable to that project Perform any other field or laboratory related tasks deemed necessary, by the CMT Project Manager/Supervisor, that aid our client in receiving the highest quality professional and technical services on their project

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent (Required)

Licenses and Certifications:

Driver's License and must be an insurable driver with a clean driving record (Required) ACI Certified (Preferred) APNGA Certified (Preferred) OSHA (Preferred) TWIC (Preferred)

Work Experience:

Geotechnical Engineering/Construction Projects: 1 years (Preferred)

Additional Requirements:

At least 18 years of age (Required) Ability to work in an outdoor environment for majority of scheduled work hours (Required) Ability to work varying shifts which may include, but are not limited to: (Required) Monday through Friday, weekends, day shift, overnight shift, and possible holidays Ability to lift 50+ pounds on a daily basis (Required) Ability to pass drug and alcohol screenings (Required)

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
