Pay:$17/hr -$18/hr

take home vehicle, gas card, company uniforms, company cell phone and computer

Shift: M-F 10-hour days.

Job Summary

Under general supervision the Field

Technician is responsible for the operation and maintenance of landfill gas

collection systems for a project in Brook, Indiana. We will be hiring multiple

people for this project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Properly operate and maintain gas collection system on a timely and cost-effective basis to achieve minimum performance standards
  • Monthly Wellfield Monitoring
  • Liquid Level Measurements in Gas Extraction Wells
  • Pneumatic Pump Cleaning / Maintenance
  • Wellfield Maintenance
  • Daily Preventative Maintenance / HDPE Pipe Welding
  • Routine Blower / Flare Operations
  • Condensate Management System Maintenance
  • Monitor perimeter probes
  • Surface Emissions Monitoring
  • Participate in Health and Safety regular meetings and ensure that Health and Safety standards are followed by on-site staff and sub-contractors.
  • Develop and maintain operating records using written or computer/electronic methods.
  • Reports/consults with supervisor (and in some instances client) regarding field conditions and test results.
Qualifications
  • Intermediate Computer Skills required
  • Effective organizational skills and written and verbal communication skills required
  • Experience with Health and Safety Oriented work preferred
  • Entry level familiarity with technical instrumentation and equipment preferred
  • Must meet physical requirements for driving (pick-up truck), walking inspection of improved and unimproved property, lifting, and carrying equipment/mechanical components (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), hand excavation/digging (using shovels/picks), carrying, and climbing ladders, operating, and working from man lifts, operating electric tools (drills, saws, etc.), using hand tools (screw drivers, wrenches, hammers, etc.) and providing services under varying weather conditions
