Description




We are seeking a Field Services Intern in our Land Survey and Construction Departmentin our Lincoln office for our 2026 Summer Internship Program. Our Survey Department supports our Civil Engineering department with topographic, ALTA, and boundary surveys using the latest technology. Our Construction Management Team focuses on ensuring adherence to plans and specifications, satisfying testing requirements, observation, coordination of staking services, charging of working days, writing change orders, creating and approving progress payment estimates, and utility and public coordination. The ideal candidates for this team will be self-starters with the ability to communicate effectively with team members.


Additionally, these candidates will:


Gain exposure to the day-to-day workings of the Survey & Construction Management Department Serve as a member of a survey crew performing fieldwork on civil engineering, construction, and general surveying projects Learn how to maintain and operate all the instruments and equipment needed to complete surveying tasks Assist with onsite observations of current projects Demonstrate safety practices and behaviors on project sites Complete reports on construction activities and provide records of changes Perform in many outdoor developed and natural environments Receive hands-on learning experience through project work, job shadowing, and interaction with leadership

Required Qualifications:




Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor's program for Construction Management or Civil Engineering Sophomore standing with required coursework completed in May 2026 Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Demonstrate problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to effectively work independently Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record & reliable vehicle

Preferred Qualifications:




Junior standing with required coursework completed in May 2026 Demonstrated experience in Land Survey or the Construction Industry
