Field Service Technician - Utility & Tree Care Aerial Equipment

About the Role

AxionLift is looking for a motivated

Field Service Technician

based in

Shelby, North Carolina

, with full availability to travel to other states. This position is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on AxionLift aerial equipment in the utility and tree care sectors. The role is ideal for individuals who are hands-on, proactive, and want to grow within a company committed to service excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Perform on-site preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on AxionLift aerial lifts and hydraulic systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues. Support the

Service Team

to close all service cases within 48 hours or less. Maintain accurate records of service activities, parts replaced, and customer interactions. Provide feedback to engineering and operations teams on product performance and field issues. Follow all

OSHA, ANSI,

and AxionLift safety procedures. Be fully available to travel extensively (domestic, weekdays, and weekends). Perform physical tasks involving bending, lifting, climbing, and working outdoors or at heights. Ensure proper care and maintenance of the assigned

service vehicle

and tools, keeping them clean, fully functional, and compliant with safety standards. Promptly report any damage, malfunction, or replacement needs to the appropriate department.

Qualifications

Experience in hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, or field service environments (aerial lift or utility/tree care industry preferred). Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills. Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Must be willing to travel 100% of the time. Must be able to speak, read, and understand English. Must be able to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Ability to perform bending, lifting, manual handling of tools and components, and occasionally working at heights.

Requirements

The selected candidate must have all required documentation to legally work in the United States. Must hold a valid

US driver's license

and maintain a clean driving record, in accordance with company and insurance standards. Must have a

basic level of English

to communicate and understand work-related instructions.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
